ThirdSpace is a community hub designed to bring friends and neighbors together. With many public gathering spaces becoming inaccessible and more people becoming increasingly lonely, there is a need for a place where San Francisco residents can enjoy time together outside of work and home. A main feature of ThirdSpace is the emphasis on greenery—it’s designed to feel like an outdoor oasis in the middle of a city. The goal of ThirdSpace is to increase connection among neighbors through beautiful design.

Research into other community spaces in San Francisco along with surveying residents of the city helped drive design decisions in order to create a space that meets the needs of the community.
